Plane Air Art by Barbara Miller
Hello!
I’m Barbara Miller, an Annapolis artist. To me, the sky isn’t the limit, it’s the canvas. My original oil paintings celebrate the beauty of flight, the serenity of the skies, and the vibrancy of flowers.
My work includes subjects that challenge me in the most wonderful way—to discover form, light, and beauty. The airplanes give me the freedom to paint dramatic skies and atmosphere around them, while the flowers let me celebrate color, texture, and the quiet elegance of nature.
Blue Angels
This small gem is a painting depicted Captain Katie Higgins, the first female Blue Angels pilot, flying Fat Albert over the Naval Academy in 2015. I was photographing the show from Annapolis harbor and was fortunate to capture this historic image.
