What is the COPA Partner-in-Command Course?

The Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association (recommend joining if you are not a member already) holds regional pilot training events across the country (internationally too) along with an annual “Migration” event. Their Partner-in-Command course is typically presented at each of these events.

If you sit in the right seat of a Cirrus airplane, you should consider attending one of these presentations. The knowledge you will gain can help you feel more comfortable flying and give you the confidence to handle an emergency - two huge benefits gained from a small time investment.

Following is a description of the course from the COPA website.

I have attended two courses at their event in Williamsport, PA. The first one was fantastic, the second one was not. It was great to meet the other attendees and hear their stories though. I’ll post about both separately.

Always lots of Cirrus to paint and photograph at these events too!
